Virtual Community Open House this Thursday — there is strength in numbers!

The developer is encouraged by the city to hold a community meeting for anyone to ask questions about the proposed project.

Weston Consulting, the planners for the project, and Lanterra Developments, the builder, will be hosting a virtual Community Open House this Thursday, June 4th at 7 p.m.  It will include an informal presentation followed by Q&A.  We strongly urge you to attend this meeting so you can ask whatever questions you may have about the project.  The more concerned members attend, the more the owner will take note.  There truly is strength in numbers.

Registration is required prior to the meeting.  Following registration, you will be sent a personalized Zoom link to attend the meeting.  Register now.

Donations requested

The NO FLAMINGO HIGHRISE Assoc. has been working hard to prepare our community to fight the proposed development. However, there are many costs associated with doing so. Simply put—we can’t do it without you.

Your donation will go towards marketing and communications (like the printing of our lawn sign campaign), operational expenses (like bank account fees, name registration, applications, website domain fees, etc.) and most importantly, for all professional services that we will no-doubt require (legal, planning, etc.) as we move through the process.

We hope you will consider a gift of $100 but all donations, of any amount, are appreciated.  Unfortunately, tax receipts for income tax purposes cannot be issued. Donate Now.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Lawn signs are here!

We hope that you have noticed the lawn signs below all over the neighbourhood.  Thus far, 60 lawn signs have been requested and installed.  These signs bring incredible awareness to our cause.  If you haven’t ordered your lawn sign yet, it’s not too late!

YES, I want a lawn sign!

Petition numbers continue to rise

Thanks to the many neighbours who signed and shared the petition link, over 920 people have signed our petition.  While our initial goal was to get 250 signatures, so we could present it to City Council, we want to increase this number into the thousands.

If you have not yet signed the petition or shared it with your friends and family, please sign and share.  If you are asked for a donation after signing, please note that these donations are for and NOT for our association.  We are sorry if you have mistakenly donated to thinking the funds would come to NNO FLAMINGO HIGHRISe.  Unfortunately, we will not receive any of those funds.
